Job Summary:

The Reimbursement Specialist ensures that all front-end coding and billing systems are in place for the resolution of all self-pay and insurance receivables, including obtaining insurance authorizations, CPT and ICD coding, charge entry, insurance billing, monitoring productivity, and resolving daily, weekly, and monthly reports. They report trends to the Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and manage insurance authorizations
  • Perform CPT and ICD coding
  • Enter charges into the billing system
  • Process insurance claims
  • Monitor productivity and resolve issues
  • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical practice setting preferred
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred
