Job Summary

Paragon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or incidents at assigned locations.
  • Provide security and safety services to clients, employees, and visitors.
  • Respond to emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level, up to and including armed response.
  • Enforce regulations and directives for the site, including access control and visitor management.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, and prevent unauthorized or unlawful entry.
  • Patrol assigned sites on foot or in vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions and security violations.
  • Protect evidence or scenes of incidents, and prepare logs or reports as requested.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent certificate.
  • Speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English, and compose coherent written reports in English.
  • Three (3) years' armed security experience within the past five years, or three (3) years' military or National Guard experience.
  • Pass the medical examination, drug test, and physical agility test if applicable.
  • Top Secret Clearance is required.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
  • Shift work required.
  • Ability to remain on post up to four (4) consecutive hours without eating, drinking, or relieving bladder/bowels.
  • Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors, during daytime or nighttime.
