Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at The University of Chicago Medicine. As a key member of our OBGYN Clinic, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive timely and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and appointments with multiple providers and ancillary departments.
  • Anticipate and address patient concerns and questions in a proactive and empathetic manner.
  • Verify patient medical records and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide information on clinical trials and disease diagnosis, and maintain statistics on patient access and outcomes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-volume healthcare environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
