Summer Programs Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to support the planning, development, and management of our district-sponsored summer programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and experience in managing summer programs, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Support the overall planning and development of summer programs, including High School Credit Recovery programs, Apex, and Middle School Academic Recovery programs.
- Collaborate with schools to ensure that all district-funded school-based programs meet state and district requirements.
- Develop and implement comprehensive summer work plans, including program schedules, course offerings, and staff recruitment.
- Provide support and guidance to schools in managing their individual summer program plans, including setting up program schedules, adding courses, and ordering materials.
- Develop and update family-facing materials, including flyers, applications, and website content.
- Work with partners and vendors to identify quality practices and resources, and design professional development to support teaching and learning in the district.
- Master's degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Maryland State Department of Education Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) with applicable endorsement.
- Three years of teaching experience, including experience in teaching, managing, and supporting summer programming at the school or district level.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver professional development and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of standards and current curriculum framework, and of current best practices in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
