Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of food according to established recipes and standards.

  • Assist in various kitchen roles to maintain high guest service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including reports and schedules, in a timely and organized manner.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in optimal condition through regular inspections and adherence to maintenance protocols.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop and price menu items, establishing portion sizes and standard recipes.
  • Manage inventory by ensuring proper ordering and receiving of products, adhering to receiving policies.
  • Control food costs by following established procedures for requisitioning and storage.
  • Administer employee performance evaluations in accordance with restaurant policies.
  • Schedule kitchen staff based on anticipated business needs while meeting labor cost objectives.
  • Implement corrective actions for policy violations in a fair and consistent manner.

  • Oversee cleaning schedules for all kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health standards.
  • Monitor food holding and refrigeration temperatures to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications:
A minimum of three years of experience in various kitchen roles, including food preparation and line cooking, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with management, kitchen staff, and patrons. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Certification in food safety (ServeSafe or equivalent) is required or must be obtained.
