Job Overview
The Housekeeping House Attendant plays a crucial role in upholding Sonesta's commitment to exceptional guest experiences by consistently exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities
The primary duty involves maintaining and cleaning guest room floors, along with overseeing the organization of housekeeping supply closets and storage areas. The Housekeeping House Attendant is expected to provide attentive and courteous service to guests, addressing inquiries and ensuring a memorable stay filled with Amazing Moments.

Work Environment
This position requires working in guest rooms, hotel corridors, and supply rooms, with potential for direct guest interaction. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Physical Requirements
Candidates must be capable of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching are necessary, along with the ability to stand for the duration of the shift.

Work Schedule
Flexibility is required to work various days of the week, including weekends and holidays, with variable shifts (days, nights, overnights) and the possibility of ten to twelve hour shifts.

Qualifications and Experience
Previous housekeeping experience in hotels is preferred.

Essential Functions
Responsibilities include:
1. Cleaning and maintaining assigned areas in accordance with established Sonesta standards, including dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, sanitizing, removing trash, sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
2. Delivering clean linen and collecting dirty linen from designated areas.
3. Preparing and delivering rollaway beds.
4. Receiving and storing housekeeping supply inventory.
5. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of linen rooms and storage closets.
6. Responding to and fulfilling guest requests.
7. Providing support and assistance to Room Attendants.
8. Notifying supervisors of any damages, defects, maintenance needs, and disturbances.
9. Handling reasonable complaints and requests with professionalism and patience.
10. Managing lost and found items according to established procedures.
11. Displaying a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
12. Adhering to all housekeeping procedures and company policies.
13. Attending departmental pre-shift and mandatory meetings.
14. Performing additional duties as requested by management.

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with prioritization and time management abilities. Candidates should be able to work efficiently without compromising quality and maintain a high level of performance with minimal supervision.
