Primary Responsibilities
The main duty involves maintaining and sanitizing guest room floors and public areas. The Room Care Specialist is also tasked with organizing housekeeping supply areas and storage facilities.
Service Excellence
This role requires delivering attentive and friendly service to guests, addressing inquiries, and contributing to a memorable stay filled with remarkable moments.
Work Environment
Work is conducted in guest rooms, hotel corridors, and supply areas, with opportunities for guest interaction. The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting is essential.
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently or consistently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching are required, along with the ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Schedule Flexibility
Availability to work various days, including weekends and holidays, is necessary. Shifts may vary, including days, nights, and overnights, with ten to twelve-hour shifts occasionally required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in hotel housekeeping is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Capability to work independently while maintaining high performance standards.
- A commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction.
Core Duties
Essential functions include:
- Cleaning and maintaining assigned areas according to established standards, including dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, and sanitizing.
- Delivering clean linens and collecting soiled linens from designated areas.
- Preparing and delivering rollaway beds.
- Receiving and organizing housekeeping supply inventory.
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in linen rooms and storage closets.
- Responding to and fulfilling guest requests.
- Providing support to Room Attendants.
- Reporting any damages, defects, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Handling guest complaints and requests with professionalism.
- Managing lost and found items according to company procedures.
- Exhibiting a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Adhering to all housekeeping protocols and company policies.
- Participating in departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
