Position Overview:
We are seeking a Community School Resource Manager who will oversee the Community Schools program, providing direct services to youth and families, coordinating community resources, and collaborating with schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple program components, executing a variety of tasks that require extensive knowledge of youth and family development and community resources.
  • Establish a structured framework for managing daily program operations, implementing strategies to ensure quality service delivery and positive program outcomes.
  • Align program resources to meet the needs of youth and families, ensuring systems are in place for crisis intervention, supportive counseling, advocacy, and service referrals.
  • Act as the program liaison with school representatives, providing necessary information and support.
  • Foster positive relationships with community members and engage in public relations activities for the programs.
  • Develop partnerships with parents, educators, community members, and organizations to provide services and resources that address the needs of youth and families.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment to make decisions based on established precedents, even in unique situations without existing policies.
  • Handle confidential information responsibly, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Manage program hiring, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and terminations, approving subordinate actions.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing training for employees and volunteers on topics such as youth development, family dynamics, and community resources.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of program policies and procedures, as well as the accuracy of program records.
  • Monitor program activities, ensuring data entry into required systems and generating reports as needed.
  • Contribute to program budgets and fiscal planning, ensuring activities remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Participate in grant writing efforts to sustain or expand programming as assigned.
  • Collaborate with other OCO programs, providing consultation as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and their application.
  • A strong desire to work with youth and families, with a thorough understanding of Youth and Family Development.
  • Professionalism, good judgment, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively in a supportive manner.
  • Supervisory and leadership skills, with experience in staff hiring, scheduling, and disciplinary processes.
  • Ability to plan and direct the work of others, set priorities, and creatively solve problems in program planning.
  • Knowledge of public services and resources, with experience collaborating with community partners.
  • Facilitation skills, with experience in training others and effectively leading groups through change.
  • Adherence to State and Federal regulations, as well as Agency and Program Policies and Procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience in writing policies and managing expenditures.
  • Availability 24/7 to provide direction and support in unusual situations.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle for travel.
  • Acceptable physical and mental health to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or NYS Registered college in a Human Services Field; and
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory and management role; or
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Full-time position, 52 weeks per year

Grade 12
