Position Overview:

Equiliem is seeking a dedicated Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our Sitework Division, where you will collaborate closely with licensed engineers to create innovative engineering designs and evaluations for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement stormwater management systems for both new and existing developments.
  • Conduct grading or regrading for construction projects, which includes roads, retaining walls, swales, and stormwater management basins.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid specifications and contract documents for construction and repair projects, ensuring all supporting documents are meticulously crafted.
  • Perform progress inspections on construction sites and generate detailed construction observation reports.
  • Manage all facets of project management, maintaining effective communication with project inspectors, technicians, and clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating sound engineering judgment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven leadership in project management and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer systems for project documentation, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (AutoCAD knowledge is a plus).
  • Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced work environment.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Land Development.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in grading and drainage design, along with stormwater basin analysis.
  • Experience within a construction or engineering office is preferred.
  • Professional licensure is an advantage.
