Voyig is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Fleet Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult and read work orders to evaluate tasks required
  • Prepare work plans after fully scoping out the issues
  • Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results to offer suitable solutions
  • Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts
  • Repair or replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
  • Conduct field visits/roadside repairs in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
  • Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge performance
  • Complete oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks around PM Structure
  • Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of mechanic experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent combination of education and experience, Required
  • Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms of a diesel or gasoline engine
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
  • Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
  • Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
  • Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software
  • Valid Driver's License, Required
  • CDL A or B, Preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
