Job Summary

The Inn at Little Washington is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Steward to join our exceptional team of hospitality professionals. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our back-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all plates, utensils, and kitchen tools to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
  • Deep clean and organize kitchen areas, including the dish machine and storage spaces, to maintain a clutter-free and efficient workspace.
  • Properly scrub and store all pots and pans, and maintain the cleanliness of the employee dining area.
  • Daily sweep and mop kitchen floors, both before and after service, to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Clean and maintain floor drains and catches, and assist with polishing of service ware as needed.
  • Organize storage areas for non-food items and cleaning supplies, and communicate when supplies run low.
  • Assist with other cleaning and maintenance projects as prescribed by culinary management.
Requirements
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, and have access to a reliable mode of transportation.
  • Capable of following direction and completing tasks in a timely manner, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work diligently, particularly during peak service periods.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours consistently).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of stewarding experience in a food establishment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
