Medical Technologist PRN

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing accurate and timely laboratory testing, analyzing proficiency testing samples, and completing required records/documentation.
Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing and analysis with attention to detail and accuracy
- Assume responsibility of the department as needed, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills
- Complete records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets, prioritizing tasks and managing workload
- Correlate and interpret patient results, using good judgment and independent thinking
- Review pending logs and result logs, resolving any outstanding workload or communicating with staff relief
- Perform quality control procedures and handle problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test results
- A 2 Year/Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field
- A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist (preferred)
- A State of Florida Technologist License (required) or ability to obtain during interview process
- Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas (Generalist highly preferred)
