We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory testing results to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, and microbiology, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the supervisor, ensuring seamless operation and high-quality patient care.
- Complete all required records and documentation, including patient results and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to resolve any outstanding workload or communicate with staff relief.
- Participate in quality control procedures and handle problem or critical laboratory specimens/test results.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A 2-year/Associate Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- A 4-year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist, preferably in a hospital setting.
- A State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain a license during the interview process.
- Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas, including Generalist, Blood bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.
