Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with program teams to generate material requirements and provide acquisition plans from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with commodity/category team leadership to coordinate forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority.
  • Analyze material requirements to identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier recommendations.
  • Engage with the supply chain to determine optimal acquisition strategies and manage production and delivery schedules.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED with 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge and skills, including Excel experience.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Buying or supply chain management experience.
  • Experience using IBM Maximo or Deltek Costpoint.
