Director of Resident Care Services

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Resident Care Services to lead our nursing department at Oakwood Village's Prairie Ridge senior living community in Madison. This role is responsible for overseeing the nursing services within the facility to ensure compliance with regulations and high-quality care.

Position Overview

The Director of Resident Care Services is responsible for leading the nursing department, coordinating care plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and quality care. Reporting to the Campus Executive Director, this position plays a key role in maintaining high standards of care.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Clinical Staff: Lead and develop a team of clinical staff to provide high-quality care to our residents.
  • Leadership in Clinical Improvement: Drive clinical improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services.
  • Resource Coordination for Resident Care: Coordinate resources to ensure that residents receive the care and services they need.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that the nursing department is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Budget Preparation and Oversight: Prepare and manage the nursing department budget to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Policies and Procedures Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and services.
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives: Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services.
  • Staff Guidance and Education: Provide guidance and education to staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
  • External Relationships Development: Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to enhance the quality of care and services.
  • Staffing Supervision: Supervise and manage the nursing department staff to ensure effective delivery of care and services.
  • Confidentiality Maintenance: Maintain the confidentiality of resident information and adhere to all relevant confidentiality policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

Experience, Education, and/or Training

  • Registered Nurse License: Possess a valid Registered Nurse license.
  • Long-term Care Experience: Have experience working in long-term care settings.
  • Supervisory Experience: Possess supervisory experience to lead and develop a team of clinical staff.
