Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking an experienced Nursing Director to lead our patient services and nursing practice. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide strategic direction on patient care and nursing-related issues, promoting teamwork and collaboration across the organization.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement patient services and nursing practice standards and guidelines to ensure the safe provision of quality patient care.
  • Lead and direct strategic nursing and patient care practice and standards, patient safety, clinical outcomes, and patient, employee, and physician satisfaction.
  • Oversee human resource management for the assigned area, creating a culture of employee engagement and ensuring HR policies are administered consistently across functions.
  • Promote team building and collaboration, motivating and empowering staff to achieve personal, organizational, and team goals.
  • Establish and implement key quality metrics to evaluate the quality of patient care and participate in ongoing continuous quality improvement education and training.
  • Assume fiscal responsibility through budgetary planning and implementation, developing and managing operating and capital budgets for patient services operations.
  • Maintain knowledge and achieve compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, licensure, accreditation requirements, record procedures, and internal controls.
  • Masters degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Eight years of nursing experience, with four years in leadership.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
