Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure 24-hour provision of nursing services within federal, state, and company requirements based on acuity of residents.
  • Maintain standards of nursing services within the expectation of the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Act on behalf of Director of Nursing Services in her absence.
  • Ensure exchange of essential information necessary for the provision of quality resident services.
  • Ensure that all documentation necessary for quality resident care is maintained according to federal, state, and company policy.
  • Review daily assignments with Director of Nursing Services, RN Supervisors, and Charge Nurses.
  • Monitor nursing personnel performance.
  • Make daily rounds, identify problems, initiate corrective actions, and monitor follow-up.
  • Support the overall goals of the company and facility.
  • Provide counseling and disciplinary action to all levels of nursing personnel as situation warrants.
Requirements:
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Maintain current certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in nursing supervision in long term care which includes direct care of the aged or chronically ill.
