Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of direct care professionals to ensure the delivery of person-centered services.
- Conduct regular fire drills and maintain a safe and supportive environment for individuals and staff.
- Review and manage residential binders, including general, medical, and personal allowances.
- Coordinate and shop for household items and groceries for meal distribution.
- Maintain relationships with community members and neighbors.
- Provide hands-on assistance with residence and individual care as part of the staff ratio.
- Create and orchestrate recreational calendars based on individual preferences.
- Maintain adequate supplies of medication and medication administration records for individuals.
- Maintain correspondence with medical coordinators to ensure appropriate medical appointments are made and occur.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience driving a large passenger vehicle required.
- 1-2 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities required.
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory work experience required.
- Demonstrates patience and the ability to learn and utilize systematic procedures to enhance individual independence and quality of life.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required for site visits.
- Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights and 20 lb. items required.
- Clearance through state-mandated background/fingerprint check required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
