Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of direct care professionals to ensure the delivery of person-centered services.
  • Conduct regular fire drills and maintain a safe and supportive environment for individuals and staff.
  • Review and manage residential binders, including general, medical, and personal allowances.
  • Coordinate and shop for household items and groceries for meal distribution.
  • Maintain relationships with community members and neighbors.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with residence and individual care as part of the staff ratio.
  • Create and orchestrate recreational calendars based on individual preferences.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of medication and medication administration records for individuals.
  • Maintain correspondence with medical coordinators to ensure appropriate medical appointments are made and occur.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience driving a large passenger vehicle required.
  • 1-2 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of supervisory work experience required.
  • Demonstrates patience and the ability to learn and utilize systematic procedures to enhance individual independence and quality of life.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required for site visits.
  • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights and 20 lb. items required.
  • Clearance through state-mandated background/fingerprint check required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.

  • Ability to run when needed.
