Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team at Essex Meadows Inc. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical construction management of all Carillon projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate subordinate staff in managing construction inspection and renovation activities.
  • Prepare and maintain renovation documentation to ensure a consistent, legally sufficient, safe, and cost-effective construction management process.
  • Initiate final inspections to ensure project completion and final acceptance, including necessary warranties and resolution of liquidated damages.
  • Perform construction-related duties such as form setting, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and excavations.
  • Operate company trucks for transporting workers, construction materials, and light equipment.
  • Perform daily tasks in a safe and workmanlike manner per company policies.
  • Assure the department meets assigned operational and financial objectives.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of construction management methods.
  • Knowledge of equipment used in construction or other related work.
  • Significant knowledge of management and supervisory principles and practices and sound judgment and leadership skills.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with others.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials applicable to the assigned work.
  • Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and diagrams.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma/GED required; a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a closely related field preferred.
  • Minimum of four years experience in construction, maintenance, general labor services, and at least one year of management or supervisory experience.
