Patient Experience Liaison

This is a per diem position at Boston Children's Hospital, ideal for individuals with availability Monday - Friday. The role involves working 100% onsite at the Peabody location.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Encounter Management:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to support unit operations.
- Collaborate with referring providers and practices.
- Obtain required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules.
- Schedule patients and facilitate the patient encounter.
Check In / Check Out:
- Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors.
- Monitor the daily schedule and coordinate flow with clinicians/supervisor.
- Reconcile payments and prepare deposits, providing a record of transactions in hospital systems.
- Facilitate and direct communication with Financial Counseling.
Administrative Tasks
- Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, and initiate calls for emergency services.
- Provide routine clerical support as needed.
Requirements
To be successful, you must have:
- A high school level of education.
- Prior customer service or administrative experience.
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
- The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
