Overview

MN Oncology is committed to providing exceptional patient care, and we are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant or Clinical Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for delivering top-notch care.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide collaborative nursing support, including administrative tasks, lab follow-up calls, and maintaining efficient patient flow. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, performing lab draws, and administering injections as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program, current CPR certification, and Certified MA or Registered MA preferred (must be willing to obtain certification/registration within 6 months of hire)
  • Clinical Assistant: Current CPR certification, 2-3 years of experience preferred, oncology experience helpful, and one of the following required: Diploma or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant Program, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with 1 year direct care experience

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role require full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods are also required, as well as occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment:

The work environment involves exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
