Financial Analyst Specialist

Job Description:
As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for overseeing, preparing, and managing the budget for substantial and intricate programs. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive financial assessments and collaborating with an integrated program management team to establish and uphold cost and revenue controls.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Regularly communicating the financial status of programs to management.
  • Understanding program requirements to assess risks and opportunities through ongoing discussions with the program management team.
  • Executing month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciling actual costs.
  • Forecasting revenue and expenses for programs on a monthly basis.
  • Leading routine reviews of essential financial metrics with the program team.
  • Utilizing Hyperion for reporting purposes.
  • Conducting actual to forecast analysis.
  • Supporting both internal and external audits.
  • Performing financial analysis, modeling, and addressing ad hoc requests.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management reports and presentations as required.
  • Focusing on cost management, achieving financial targets, and enhancing cash flow.
  • Ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures, aligning with GAAP accounting standards.

Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant finance experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related finance experience. Alternatively, candidates with a minimum of 8 years of relevant finance experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Excel along with experience in systems such as SAP, Hyperion, or PeopleSoft. Demonstrated analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, coupled with a strong customer orientation (both internal and external), is highly valued. Excellent active listening, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with the capability to navigate ambiguity. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are crucial. Experience in managing, preparing, and directing budget control for large and complex programs is preferred.
