Actuarial Modeling Associate Job Description

Global Atlantic is seeking an experienced Actuarial Modeling Associate to join our team in Boston, MA. As an Actuarial Modeling Associate, you will be responsible for building actuarial models for retail annuity products and newly acquired institutional blocks on our state-of-the-art Milliman Integrate Actuarial platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain testing tools for new models
  • Support assumption updates and impact quantification
  • Support model production team in producing quarterly/monthly valuation results
  • Follow and employ model development best practices, including model design, change management, testing, and governance
  • Support internal and external auditing activities as well as regulatory exams and inquiries, as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or other related fields
  • FSA or established ASA with 4+ years of experience in the life and annuity insurance industry
  • Solid experience with MG ALFA or other Actuarial Projection Software required
  • Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills
  • Self-starter and quick learner, being able to solve complex issues independently and in collaborative team settings
  • US GAAP valuation experience preferred
  • Programming language such as Python or SQL a plus
