Job Summary

The Actuarial Modeling Associate will join our team in Boston, MA, and will be responsible for building and maintaining actuarial models for retail annuity products and newly acquired institutional blocks. The successful candidate will work on our state-of-the-art Milliman Integrate Actuarial platform, supporting GAAP, US and Bermuda Statutory reporting, cash-flow testing, and other analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain testing tools for new models
  • Support assumption updates and impact quantification
  • Support model production team in producing quarterly/monthly valuation results
  • Follow and employ model development best practices, including: Model designChange management testing and governanceDocumentationModel validationAdherence to SOX and Risk Management policies
  • Support internal and external auditing activities as well as regulatory exams and inquiries, as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or other related fields
  • FSA or established ASA with 4+ years of experience in the life and annuity insurance industry
  • Solid experience with MG ALFA or other Actuarial Projection Software required
  • Strong communication, technical and analytical skills
  • Self-starter and quick learner, being able to solve complex issues independently and in collaborative team settings
  • US GAAP valuation experience preferred
  • Programming language such as Python or SQL a plus
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Compensation

Global Atlantic offers a competitive base salary range of $94,500—$179,500 USD, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, retirement, life and disability plans. Actual compensation will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
