  • Perform all processes associated with testing of laboratory specimens, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Conduct quality control and assurance activities to maintain accuracy in specimen testing and reporting for effective diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot complex instrumentation and test systems, documenting corrective actions prior to releasing testing results to contribute to reliable test outcomes.
  • Prioritize duties and manage workload to meet established laboratory turnaround times for efficient patient care and treatment decisions.
  • Stay updated on annual competencies, continuing education assignments, and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with safety and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Practice efficient use of supplies and actively participate in inventory control to maintain a cost-effective and well-equipped laboratory.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in medical laboratory technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • Medical Laboratory Technician certification in one of the following certifications upon hire: Medical Laboratory Technician with ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) or Medical Laboratory Technician with AMT (American Medical Technologists).
