Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technician

Labcorp is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Burlington, NC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform phlebotomy, determine specimen acceptability, and operate laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical laboratory science and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform phlebotomy on all ages
  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
  • Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
  • Report accurate and timely test results
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology or meet local regulatory requirements
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy with or without additional training on all age ranges, including pediatrics
  • Previous clinical laboratory testing experience is highly preferred
  • ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
  • High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
