Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our team at UVM Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing, calculating, reviewing, and reporting laboratory diagnostic tests. You will also maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, and understand the clinical significance of the testing performed.

Responsibilities:

• Performs and reports laboratory diagnostic tests with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Understands the clinical significance of laboratory test results and communicates effectively with healthcare teams.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry.
• Current Medical Laboratory Scientist certification.
• At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
