SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Operations Specialist is essential to our distribution process, responsible for managing a diverse range of products that we distribute and ship through various channels. Key responsibilities include inventory management, precise order fulfillment, and packaging.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Inventory Management:

  • Efficiently store products manually or through the appropriate systems.
  • Organize products as needed, whether individually or in groups.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and conduct cycle counts.
  • Identify and process item transactions accurately.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Accurately pick orders, whether grouped or individual.
  • Complete necessary work orders for external processes.
  • Manage distribution orders effectively.
  • Utilize hand-held inventory scanners and warehouse equipment proficiently.
  • Weigh or count materials as required.

Shipping and Receiving:

  • Process purchase orders and handle customer returns.
  • Receive materials promptly and provide feedback on supplier compliance.
  • Unload and load vehicles, ensuring inspection of deliveries for damages.
  • Create Bills of Lading and schedule carriers as needed.
  • Generate and apply labels to packages accurately.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Fill trays and repackage materials as necessary.
  • Wrap and band skids for shipment.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must maintain a clean safety record.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in warehousing or manufacturing settings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and organize resources effectively.
  • Willingness to be trained on powered industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates in a warehouse environment, where employees may be exposed to varying temperatures and noise levels from powered industrial equipment. Appropriate safety equipment must be utilized to prevent injuries.

  • Frequent bending, stretching, twisting, standing, and moving are required.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • Lifting requirements may reach up to 50 lbs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
