The Phlebotomy Registrar at East Ohio LLC is a vital member of our clinical laboratory team. This role requires the ability to collect, process, store, and transport blood, body fluids, and tissue specimens with precision and care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting blood and other specimens from patients with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Processing and storing specimens in a safe and efficient manner
  • Transporting specimens to the laboratory for analysis
  • Performing clerical duties such as faxing, copying, and mailing reports
  • Answering phones professionally and providing excellent customer service

Requirements include:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Successful completion of a formal training course in Phlebotomy from a recognized school
  • Completion of certification or registry exam given by a Nationally recognized certifying agency within 1 year of hire
  • 1-year Clinical Laboratory experience preferred, but new graduate acceptable

Physical Requirements include:

  • Full use of both hands
  • Good finger dexterity
  • Near vision required
  • Works with sharp instruments
  • Standing 4-6 hours per day
  • Walking 4-6 hours per day
  • Carries 0-25 pounds
