Phlebotomy Specialist

The Phlebotomist Registrar is a vital member of our clinical laboratory team, responsible for collecting, processing, and transporting blood and body fluid specimens. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process blood and body fluid specimens from patients
- Perform clerical duties, including faxing, copying, and mailing reports
- Answer phones professionally and provide excellent customer service
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve laboratory goals
- Stay up-to-date with changing laboratory procedures and regulations
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of a formal training course in Phlebotomy from a recognized school
- Certification or registry exam from a Nationally recognized certifying agency within 1 year of hire date
- Minimum 1 year of Clinical Laboratory experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Laboratory procedures
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
