Job Description

Job Summary:

The RS Technical Skills Trainer is a key member of the Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation team, responsible for providing technical training and expertise to employees at all locations. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems and technical training methods, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver Technical Training: Provide classroom and practical aircraft technical training to employees at all locations, as directed by management.
  2. Ensure Safety Standards: Ensure aircraft safety standards are complied with, promote and mandate the practical understanding of working to a high level of safety and quality.
  3. Develop Training Plans: Assist in forming training plans and establishing goals in support of organizational business objectives.
  4. Support Local Facility: Provide support to the local facility, ensuring that all training needs are met.
  5. Document Training: Ensure proper documentation is maintained in accordance with facility OJT program and repair station training manual guidelines.
  6. Instill Values: Work to instill the values of personal accountability and integrity in the individual being trained.
  7. Provide Remedial Training: Provide remedial training, pass on aircraft systems knowledge and teach troubleshooting techniques to lesser experienced technicians.
  8. Identify Priorities: Should be aware of and engaged in and utilize repair station trends (SMS, Top 3, First Pass Yield) to identify priorities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Read and Interpret Documents: Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals, IPCs, ASCs, CBs, CMP cards, engineering orders and blueprints.
  2. Troubleshoot Systems: Must be able to troubleshoot systems during tests and perform systems and operational checks.
  3. Conduct Training: Must be available to conduct training on any shift and travel to all locations.
  4. Facilitation and Presentation: Must possess facilitation and presentation capabilities.
  5. Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills and strong verbal/written communications skills required.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years related maintenance experience and technical training. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  2. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
