Job Summary:

Acton-Agua Dulce Unified seeks a skilled Transportation Specialist to operate conventional and light school buses or passenger vans in the transportation of students over designated routes and on field trips. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to student safety, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate conventional and light school buses or passenger vans to transport students over designated routes and on field trips
• Wash, sweep, and refuel vehicles as needed
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safe and reliable transportation
• Develop and maintain knowledge of bus routes, schedules, and student transportation policies
• Collaborate with school administrators and staff to ensure seamless student transportation services
• Maintain accurate records of student transportation activities and incidents

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong commitment to student safety and well-being
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions
• May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
