Columbus, Ohio, United States HFI Full time

This newly established position at HFI is dedicated to seeking a skilled and proactive Accounting Manager with extensive ERP knowledge. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in guiding the design, execution, and management of our upcoming ERP system, collaborating across various departments. Initially, this individual will function as both the Accounting Leader and the ERP "Super User," working closely with IT and Supply Chain to ensure the system is tailored to our operational needs and facilitates smooth financial processes.

Once the ERP system is fully operational, the role will evolve into a conventional Accounting Manager position, where the emphasis will shift to supervising daily accounting activities. This role is perfect for a hands-on professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and is enthusiastic about utilizing technology to enhance financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish user and posting controls, conduct data testing and validation, and oversee the launch of the new system.
  • Manage the transition from the existing financial system to the new ERP system.
  • Act as the ERP system "Super User" for the accounting team, providing training and ongoing support to ensure effective utilization across the department.
  • Engage with stakeholders to comprehend business needs and assist in crafting tailored solutions within the ERP system.
  • Design and implement custom reports, dashboards, and financial workflows to enhance processes and boost efficiency.
Financial Accounting and Process Enhancement:
  • Evaluate current financial accounting processes, particularly focusing on high-volume accounts receivable invoicing and accounts payable, to pinpoint areas for improvement, automation, and standardization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement modifications that optimize financial workflows and controls.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues or bottlenecks within financial systems and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and working with ERP systems; experience with ERP system implementation is advantageous.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and financial processes, with prior experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable roles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proven history of successfully managing projects and driving process enhancements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address escalations as they arise, making sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
