Job Overview

ComResource is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer / Developer to enhance our cloud infrastructure.

This role involves the design, execution, and continuous management of our cloud services, server operating systems, mobile device management, patch management, backup solutions, directory services, and certificate oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a strategy for Infrastructure Services that aligns with standard directory services, single sign-on frameworks, server processing, storage optimization, backup solutions, security protocols, and a resilient service infrastructure.
  • Maintain and improve the server environment through effective engineering and implementation of solutions that cater to the organization's user and application requirements.
  • Install and manage cloud-based applications, systems, and related infrastructures.
  • Assess and define business needs to establish specifications and standards; propose and create solutions accordingly.
  • Oversee the deployment and integration of web-based applications, ensuring compliance with relevant information security standards.
  • Design, deploy, and manage computing services across various Cloud Infrastructure providers.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues within Converged Infrastructure Systems related to computing, storage, networking, and other infrastructure challenges.
  • Engineer and execute Capacity Management for Infrastructure Solutions & Services.
  • Monitor system uptime and performance, addressing and resolving errors as they arise.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and assess their potential benefits for the organization's operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with one or more cloud computing platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of server operating systems (Windows & Linux), enabling high-level engineering, architectural design, and support.
  • Experience with Desktop Virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with Windows Active Directory Services and Identity Management Solutions.
  • Experience in automation and configuration management.
  • Expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies.
  • Proficient in utilizing a variety of open-source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is essential).
  • Understanding of coding and scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, PowerShell, and/or Ruby).
  • Expertise in automated build and deployment processes and tools.
  • Experience in monitoring and designing cloud solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of distributed version control systems such as GIT.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies.
