Role: AWS Cloud Solutions Architect

Work Mode: Hybrid

Salary Range: $140k - $150k

Job Overview:

We are looking for an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to design, implement, and oversee AWS environments, ensuring compliance and security. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with AWS services, cloud migration, and infrastructure automation, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. A bachelor's degree and AWS certification are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the existing technology landscape and assess current application workloads.
  • Gather and document technical requirements from clients.
  • Formulate migration strategies for transitioning applications to the cloud.
  • Create architecture blueprints and detailed documentation, including a bill of materials for necessary cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3).
  • Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environment, including server instances, storage instances, subnets, and availability zones.
  • Develop the AWS network architecture, including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets.
  • Expertise in designing high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Outline the 7 R strategies and create a migration plan.
  • Ensure the environment meets all security and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in creating architectural diagrams following the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of key AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, and CloudFormation.
  • Demonstrated experience in evaluating workloads for cloud readiness, developing business cases, and creating cloud adoption roadmaps.
  • Strong background in defining new architectures, designing scalable and highly available solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Expertise in AWS network architectures, security controls, and automation tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish credibility with stakeholders, along with hands-on experience in Linux/Unix administration and scripting (Python, Bash) is preferred.
  • AWS Associate/Professional Solution Architect Certification is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years in IT with at least 5 years focused on AWS, including design, deployment, and management of infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration projects and developing/executing migration strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS networking, security best practices, compliance requirements, and container orchestration tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, along with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent certification.
