Position: Warehouse/Inventory Control Specialist

ROLE SUMMARY

The Warehouse/Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in collaboration with the Inventory Asset Manager and Job Coordinators. This position is essential for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing orders for our rental fleet are handled efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory control and risk management practices.
  • Support the Asset Team in organizing and relocating various components of the rental fleet.
  • Operate a forklift, ensuring compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory, documenting results in the inventory management system.
  • Prepare rental packages for upcoming assignments.
  • Load rental packages into company vehicles for scheduled jobs.
  • Perform pre-job inspections on equipment and vehicles.
  • Manage the distribution and receipt of vehicle keys for technicians.
  • Inspect vehicles upon their return from assignments.
  • Handle incoming returns and rig downs of the rental fleet.
  • Report any shortages or damages to the Inventory Asset Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Assist customers with loading products into their vehicles as needed.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Inventory Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse setting, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong quality management skills.
  • Proficient reporting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adhere to safety policies and best practices.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English; bilingual candidates are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to new responsibilities.
  • Exemplary work ethic and team-oriented attitude.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position requires working in various weather conditions and in a warehouse/shop environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job duties may involve ascending/descending stairs, lifting/carrying weights of up to 42 lbs occasionally, 32 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly. The role may require standing, walking, stooping, or kneeling. Flexibility in work hours is essential, including potential overtime, holiday, and weekend shifts with minimal notice.
