Amazon's Legal Department is seeking a skilled commercial real estate lawyer to support the expansion of Amazon Web Services (AWS), a rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. As part of the AWS real estate legal team, you will be responsible for supporting the worldwide data center expansion through land acquisitions and leasing.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $138,500 - $229,000 per year, based on experience and location. This includes equity compensation and other forms of total compensation. Job Description

">

You will have transactional drafting and negotiating responsibilities on deals, providing legal counsel and contract interpretation to business team members on a daily basis. Transactions range from standard contracts to complex, bespoke, high value agreements. You will structure, draft, and negotiate agreements, help support AWS real estate's existing portfolio, manage outside counsel, and advise internal business clients. In addition, you will help develop, implement, and manage process improvements across the team, resolve legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent;">
  • At least 5 years of legal experience; and">
  • Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of real estate transactional documents.">

Preferred qualifications include a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work, strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills, and strong organizational and project management skills.
