Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for processing sales orders from receipt to shipment. This role involves assisting with related issues, such as product inquiries, A/R inquiries, and order follow-up. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with sales-related activities, including direct contact with customers and internal personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and enter orders received by phone, mail, and portals from customers and sales force.
  • Verify shipping, billing, pricing, and purchase order information.
  • Check computer-generated Bill of Lading (BOL) Status Report.
  • Enter special instructions related to orders, customer requests, and notes.
  • Interact with customers, sales force, supply chain, and warehouse personnel to resolve problems and provide information.
  • Regularly communicate with internal and external customers on various issues.
  • Notify purchasing on stock issues.
  • Audit customer purchase orders for pricing, quantity, terms of sale, and special shipping instructions.
  • Assist customers with payments via credit card module.
  • Research and resolve credit issues, short pay, and returned material issues.
  • Document and resolve customer complaints.
  • Understand and utilize the ERP system, Brenntag Unified System (BUS).
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in customer service, preferably in distribution, warehousing, or logistics.
