Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Enterprise Risk Program Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and monitor risk management programs that align with our business objectives.
  • Support Commercial Banking Participation in RCSA: Develop and maintain process definitions, control identification, and risk rating processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive Effective Issue Management: Identify, document, and remediate issues related to risk and control, ensuring timely completion of actions and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Lead SOX Control Program Execution: Ensure controls are properly documented, understood by control owners, executed timely with quality, and managed effectively.
  • Participate in Risk/Control/Performance Metrics: Contribute to the creation, gathering, and reporting of various risk and control metrics related to Commercial Banking.
  • Perform Effective Testing: Conduct thorough testing of control activities and deliverables, communicating results with all stakeholders.
  • Create Action Plans: Develop and implement action plans with senior leaders to remediate noted deficiencies.
  • Prepare Reports: Assist in preparing reports to senior management and executive committees on risk program results, unmitigated risks, and strategies to address them.
  • Remain Knowledgeable: Stay up-to-date on business risks, current and emerging.
  • Support Special Projects: Provide support for special projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience working in a similar risk and control function, either in the first, second, or third line of defense.
  • Skills: Operational risk management, enterprise risk management, audit experience, project management, and banking experience.
  • Professionalism: High level of professionalism, ability to effectively influence and develop relationships across the organization.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
