Job Overview:

The American Bankers Association (ABA) is seeking a highly skilled Data Quality and Governance Specialist to join its team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of membership data within the organization's Salesforce-based CRM, Nimble, and other systems.

This position requires a meticulous and detail-oriented individual who can evaluate membership data quality, refresh data in the membership database, and contribute to the development of a robust data governance process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain regular data cleaning reports to identify and correct data inconsistencies, duplicates, inaccuracies, and missing data. Document issues and resolutions, and participate in data quality assessments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT to resolve system-driven data problems and close gaps to ensure clean, accurate data.
  • Work with the Membership Operations team to process responses from validation programs and data cleaning projects.
  • Utilize outside sources to identify high-level staff changes at banks and update records in the system as needed, exercising careful judgment to ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or commensurate experience
  • 1-3 years of experience working with information systems, data cleansing, report writing, and monitoring
  • Knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Previous experience with Nimble AMS, Salesforce, or similar association management systems preferred
