Key Responsibilities
  • Family Assessment and Licensing: Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster families to ensure they meet the necessary requirements for licensure.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to foster families to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to care for children.
  • Case Management: Manage the licensure process for foster families, including conducting annual re-licensing visits and retention/waiver visits.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all licensure activities, including case review consultations and foster home recruitment activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, with a minimum of two years of social services experience.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid Florida Driver's License in good standing, and ability to meet state criminal background check requirements.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of community resources, and ability to work a flexible schedule.
