Overview

Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the efficient flow and dispatch of outgoing materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle shipping requests effectively.
  • Process picking slips for jobs that need packing and manage stock requisitions.
  • Oversee order actions and ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor and respond to warehouse email inquiries.
  • Ensure shipment management is maintained for successful deliveries.
  • Administer the Proof of Delivery (POD) application.
  • Initiate shipments within the application.
  • Assist in managing the Cook & Boardman fleet.
  • Generate barcodes for quality assurance.
  • Verify signatures and make necessary corrections.
  • Act as a liaison between sales and warehouse shipping requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to assess and implement processes and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Execute other relevant tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of a current and valid US driver's license is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with architectural door materials and hardware.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and proper use of company-issued devices.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
  • Capability to work closely and harmoniously with other staff members.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see. The employee frequently stands, walks, uses hands to handle or feel, and reaches with hands and arms. Frequent lifting of items weighing between 5-25 pounds is required, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Work Environment

This position operates in both a professional office and warehouse setting. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and the use of various tools and hardware. The employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
