This is a key position that will report directly to the Senior Vice President and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics and trading activities for the company's energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee the shipment and tracking of all inventory and distribution to ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Supplier Relationships: Develop and manage domestic and international relationships with external suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
  • Hedging Strategies: Oversee and manage hedging activities and strategies to minimize risk and maximize returns.
  • Trade Execution: Execute trades and monitor profit and loss (P&L) movement to ensure the company's financial goals are met.
  • Forecasting: Prepare Excel models to forecast inventory levels and trading strategies to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Management: Manage banking relationships and lines of credit to ensure the company's financial needs are met.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Prepare short- and long-term forecasts of inventory levels to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Contract Review: Work with counterparties and review contracts to ensure they align with the company's interests.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the supply of all products to customers is met.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on logistics and supply chain management.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of logistics and supply chain management, prior experience in petroleum, propane, or heating oils, and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and pivots).
