Job Summary

Macmillan Learning is seeking a highly skilled Regional Manager, Business Renewals to join our team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion in a defined region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, Train, and Develop Sales Teams
    • Hire, onboard, and train new Account Managers to achieve sales targets.
    • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, coaching, and performance management to ensure team success.
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies
    • Collaborate with regional managers, specialists, marketing, and editorial teams to identify top targets and develop sales plans.
    • Analyze sales territories, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to improve sales performance.
  • Lead and Manage Sales Teams
    • Create a positive and collaborative team culture by communicating clear expectations and ensuring every voice is heard.
    • Ensure company systems and tools are leveraged for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate and Collaborate
    • Regularly communicate with in-house colleagues on regional trends, product performance, and competitive landscape.
    • Participate in regional and national sales meetings, marketing planning meetings, author meetings, training events, and other sales-related events.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • 5 years' work experience in a sales environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Strong data analysis skills, including experience with tools like PowerBI and SFDC.
    • Leadership experience and ability to manage a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Publishing experience and management experience.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and ability to generate and read SFDC reports.
