Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Campus Apartments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the physical and mechanical upkeep of our properties, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and leading a team of maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance of painting and cleaning of properties (internal and external)
  • Perform maintenance work, including mechanical work, code work, fire alarm checks, and capital improvement projects
  • Schedule and manage capital improvement projects and apartment work
  • Set scope, obtain bids, and check contractors for outside work
  • Repair and maintain all appliances, boiler machinery, and pool equipment
  • Manage night and weekend maintenance staff, including bus drivers
  • Ensure timely and professional completion of work orders
  • Hire and terminate maintenance staff in cooperation with the General Manager
  • Manage payroll for maintenance staff
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on scheduling, budgeting, and other operational matters
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Additional education preferred
  • HVAC certification
  • Certification in electrical (commercial and residential)
  • Universal certification within one year of hire
  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
  • Licensed pool operator if the community maintains a pool
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate instructions accurately
