Job Description

At the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, we are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician Assistant to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician Assistant, you will provide general behavioral training and psychiatric nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities in our residential care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site direct care, training, and participate in recreational activities with consumers.
  • Perform cross-training to the consumer's community home staff or family to maintain a continuity of care.
  • Responsible for maintaining credentials in required of a Psychiatric Technician Assistant license and attend required trainings.
Requirements
  • Valid California Drivers License (CDL) required.
  • Pass a Drug Screening prior to being hired.
  • Clear Background Investigation prior to being hired.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate required.
