The Senior Manufacturing Technician will collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a team of technicians within our propellant manufacturing facility. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards. Responsibilities include:
- Supervising and executing essential processor tasks while ensuring compliance with quality benchmarks and production objectives.
- Managing daily operations of designated processes and serving as the subject matter expert on manufacturing practices.
- Leading by example in safety practices and ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols.
- Assisting in the effective execution of the plant master schedule.
- Evaluating job requirements, verifying task assignments, and assessing personnel capabilities and training needs.
- Reporting any deviations from standard operations to management promptly.
- Ensuring all operational personnel follow established work instructions.
- Supporting the training program by mentoring technicians and maintaining accurate training records.
- Monitoring production tooling and ensuring its availability for operational needs.
- Collaborating with engineering and technical teams to enhance plant operations.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by documenting and implementing enhancement initiatives.
- Tracking and reporting on production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Upholding a culture of safety and efficiency, embodying the company's core values of Dedication, Precision, and Care.
Education & Experience:
• An Associate degree in a relevant field or a minimum of five years of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and train team members effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to performance evaluations.
• Proficient in interpreting procedures and providing guidance to team members.
• Effective communication skills for presenting information and addressing inquiries from peers and management.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential for leading by example.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) is preferred.
• Capability to obtain necessary approvals for working with specific products.
