About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sophisticated medical equipment and systems.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a manager to perform all phases of scheduled and corrective repairs of biomedical equipment and medical systems. This will include performing pre-issue and asset accounting, equipment installation and de-installation, as well as scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and electrical safety tests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform scheduled and corrective repairs of biomedical equipment and medical systems.
  2. Perform pre-issue and asset accounting, equipment installation and de-installation.
  3. Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and electrical safety tests.
  4. Document the results of all inspections, maintenance, and tests.
  5. Collaborate with other biomedical engineers and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  6. Travel to various locations to provide service support and attend technical training.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in formal and/or on-the-job training.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate's degree or equivalent in electronics, physics, or a related science degree being preferred.
  • A valid California driver's license is also required.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
