Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our Anesthesia Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service all electronic and mechanical equipment used by Anesthesia Department personnel
  • Set up transducers, calibrate and zero monitors
  • Assemble pediatric and adult ventilator circuits
  • Prepare procedural equipment such as CVP, arterial line, Swan-Ganz, and routine intravenous lines
  • Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on various technical equipment used in the operating room

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hospital experience with an understanding of anesthesia equipment function and operation
  • Working knowledge of Anesthesia department operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic instruments and treatment procedures commonly used in anesthesia administration
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Basic Life Support certification required

Additional Requirements:

  • Possess an understanding of aseptic and infection control
  • Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment

Salary Information: The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 based on location and experience. This figure is subject to change and may not include additional compensation or benefits.
