We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Specialist with NucMed experience based in Northern California and surrounding areas. As a brand-neutral partner, we work with OEMs, ISOs, Asset Managers, Hospital Systems, and other service providers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and calibration of diagnostic and/or other imaging devices or systems. In conjunction with radiation physicists, quality assurance testing and calibration will be performed. Additionally, training medical and clinical staff on the safe and proper use of such equipment and systems will be a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing diagnostic and/or other imaging equipment and systems utilizing established electronic tests and measurement equipment and techniques.
  • Discussing pending installations, including any needed new construction, repairs, preventive maintenance, de-installations, and recalls with external and internal resources. Installing the actual units and conducting customer in-house product and unit training.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and/or modifications on imaging equipment and systems, in accordance with department procedures, manufacturers' recommendations, physicist's specifications and/or other applicable codes and standards.
  • Training medical and clinical staff on the safe and proper use of diagnostic imaging equipment and systems. Providing operational and technical advice on diagnostic imaging equipment to medical and clinical staff. Interacting with clinical staff on a regular basis to ensure needs are being met.
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of all inspections, repairs, adjustments, etc. performed on all equipment. Preparing and obtaining all training documentation and installation certifications as required by the company, customer, FDA, and/or state regulatory agencies.
  • Responding to Support Services when calls are dispatched. Scheduling with customers for appropriate service response times to meet contractual obligations.
  • Completing service reports including Preventative Maintenance documents and submitting them within the established guidelines of the department.
  • Completing Expense reports and submitting them within the established guidelines of the department.
  • Requesting and/or ordering necessary repair and spare parts according to established procedures and contract relationships.
  • Responsible for keeping the Product Support Specialist, Area Service Manager, and Sales Team up to date on customer contacts and resolution of any application problems.
  • Accountable for assisting with retention and growth of contract and Time and Materials (T&M) revenue for areas of responsibility.
  • Familiarity with common electronic test equipment including Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.
  • Previous experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
  • Ability to travel, up to 80% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check.
  • Adherence to certification/credentialing as required by the Customer in connection with admission into its facilities to perform job duties.
